Network Discovery Is Turned Off. I set it back to on rebooted and checked again and it was off again. Sometimes, when you try to share your network, your computer tells you that Network Discovery is turned off.
Turns out, just because there's a private key on the SSID doesn't mean that the network is secure.
What could be turning off network discovery and file sharing without any direction from me?

One interesting feature of Windows is automatic network discovery. Even if you've set up a Homegroup on your PC, it won't be enabled on a public network. When I checked Turn On Network Discovery setting in Change Advanced Sharing Settings it was off.
