Cherry Mx Red Vs Brown. I'm willing to buy the HyperX Alloy Elite keyboard, but I do not know which switch to choose, I am between the Cherry MX Red and the Cherry MX Brown. Cherry MX Brown is a tactile Key switch, which gives a bumpy response when users apply pressure on or near it.
If you're looking for a basic switch such as a Red, Brown, or Blue, I would recommend staying away from Kailh switches and going for a Gateron or Outemu. Cherry MX Browns are both quiet and tactile. It is a very light switch, and not In most respects it's similar to the MX Red, save that there is a small kink in the part of the switch that presses the contacts.
It does not click or have any tactile feedback - it just moves smoothly up and down.
Comment below if you want to any.
I'm probably alone in saying that I prefer browns for that subtle tactility. the bump is subtle enough not to bother me in movement in FPS, but it's noticeable enough to. Cherry MX Red Switches are a linear switch.
